Voces Digital is committed to creating content that reflects the diverse cultures, perspectives, and lived experiences of the people who speak the target language. Here's how you can be confident that the materials are culturally responsive:

Lessons include voices, stories, and media from real people in the target-language communities—across Latin America, Spain, the U.S., and beyond—reflecting a wide range of racial, ethnic, gender, and socioeconomic identities. Because Voces is digital-first, the content can be regularly updated to reflect cultural developments and avoid outdated or stereotypical depictions.

Educators from a wide variety of backgrounds contribute to and review the content. Voces also encourages teachers to give feedback and request changes to ensure cultural responsiveness remains a priority.

If you're trialing Voces, explore the Culture tabs in each unit or check out the Integrated Performance Assessments (IPAs) that often require students to interpret or reflect on authentic cultural material.
