What to Expect

The CI Summit is an immersive professional development experience dedicated to in-depth training in the techniques and strategies of Acquisition-Driven Instruction (ADI). You'll deepen your teaching practice, explore new ideas, and connect and collaborate with fellow educators in a supportive, engaging environment.

Three core elements guide your CI Summit experience:

Squads

Dive deep into collaborative learning with a small group of educators who share your experience level with ADI and CI. With the support of expert trainers and mentors, you'll connect, practice, and share ideas in an environment designed to help you grow.

Studies

Step into the role of language student! Not only is this a delightful experience (because who wouldn't want to learn a new language?!), but it's also incredibly insightful. Your language instructor will demonstrate the same ADI-based techniques you're exploring in your Squad, helping you better understand what works, why it works, and how to bring those strategies into your own classroom.

Spotlights

Part session, part workshop, Spotlights take a deep dive into cutting-edge research and innovative teaching methods at the center of today's language-learning world. Each Spotlight is led by an expert presenter who explores a key topic over two sessions. Choose a topic and go deep on that topic between the two days.

NEW for 2027!

We're adding even more opportunities to learn, share, and connect at CI Summit 2027!

Community Sessions & Coaching

Choose how you'd like to spend these new learning blocks! Join a session on a practical teaching topic or spend time getting personalized guidance from an experienced CI Summit team member.

Thursday's Community Sessions will be led by visiting presenters and CI Summit team members, while Friday's Community Sessions will feature ideas and strategies shared by fellow attendees. Have something you'd love to share? You'll have the opportunity to submit a session idea ahead of time!

Coaching by team members will be available during both session blocks, giving you the flexibility to choose the experience that best supports your needs.

Lunchtime Roundtables

Great conversations often happen over lunch! This year, we're making space for more of them with topic-based roundtable discussions.

Choose a table focused on a teaching topic that interests you and connect with others who want to explore it, too.

And we'll have one special "Your Topic Here" table! The first attendee to write down a discussion topic gets to choose what that table talks about. Have something on your mind? Claim the table and get the conversation started!

More Than Just a Conference!

At the CI Summit, you won't just hear about teaching techniques and ideas. You'll receive in-depth training, opportunities to practice, personalized support, and time to learn from fellow educators—all thoughtfully designed to help you bring what you've learned into your classroom.
